These flowers we have seen in several locations, very close to the ground and I thought they might be associated with tree roots (?) but roy disagrees.

These flowers we have seen in several locations, very close to the ground and I thought they might be associated with tree roots (?) but roy disagrees.

I think it is a harmless root parasite, the name of which has escaped me for the moment. I'll do some research and post the identity when I find it!
