Chicken update

Here's the new chicken house I built over the last two weeks. We decided it was time that all the birds learned to sleep peacefully together, so I built this, twice the size of the original one, when I discovered that to buy a new one of this size would cost £500! Unfortunately, while this was being built we lost two of our ten birds - we suspect to a fox - so we're down to eight now.


The build went really well until I sliced my left thumb with a Stanley knife, and had to spend the afternoon in the local surgery having seven stitches put in it. Not a mistake I'll make again. Anyway, the chickens are getting used to their new home and are laying their eggs in one of the two new luxury nest boxes.
