Back from the Balkans

I got back from four days in Slovenia on Sunday. Great contrast between the alpine north of the country, where we landed and the Italianate coast, where we were working. A very small higher education system - only two universities - in a country with a population of about 1.5 million. So the insights that Barbara and I were there to provide from the UK system needed considerable scaling down and translating into a very different context.

When the project team all come over to UEA for a week in February, we 'll be able to explore in more detail how we can shape Croatian and Slovenian approaches to teaching learning and evaluation in the light of our experience over the last decade. Lovely country - these few pictures don't really do it justice.
