As well as all our refined cultural concerns, Paul and I have a shared interest in driving off-road, and in strange machinery. So last weekend we went to the East Anglian Offroad Show at Bircham Newton, not far from Hunstanton. We had a couple of goes round the off-road course - 40 minutes, and we giggled all the round both times - then we had a look at some of the exotic machinery that was on display. From the top, a Volvo tracked troop-carrier, a WW2 Dodge, a 1956 Commer 4WD truck, a Series One Land-Rover, and a 101 Land-Rover. We resisted buying camouflage trousers and leather hats from the Army Surplus Stall!
