Sunday 20 November 2005 at Tichwell, Norfolk

What a fabulous day. It was perfect for a walk at the coast and made more perfect by the sight of all these wonderful birds. We were here at Tichwell with our friends Peter and Gillie. Norfolk at its absolute best.

These are a Bar Tailed Godwit, Brent Geese and a White Egret

Birds at Tichwell

These birds are Redshanks, Curlews, Oystercatchers and a Stonechat

More grey walls

Well I think they're interesting! I must do to be uploading these pictures at two in the morning. A good cure for insomnia? Counting bricks rather than sheep?

A Hard Winter?

If you believe that Mother Nature can predict the weather, then the prospects for a hard winter seem to be good. My personal twopennorth - there are about twice the usual number of Redwings round here at the moment. I wonder if they're staying for the next 5 months or if they're on their way further south? Remind me to review this post about the end of February!
